Jacksonville University ranks this year as the one of the best military-friendly universities in Florida, and at the top of the list for private colleges in the state offering doctoral programs. The ranking is listed on G.I. Jobs May issue publication.
Military Friendly awards Jacksonville University nationally with the highest badge in the top ten and gold category out of 530 schools in their 2023-24 survey. Among the universities, only 15 schools are awarded out of Florida’s top 64 schools published on UniRank.
Military Friendly’s criteria for top ten schools:
- Top 10 Schools are the guidon bearers for military/veteran programs and initiatives
- They set the standard for other designations
- Programs that continue to improve every year
The Military Friendly listing and its criteria utilizes data from over 8,800 schools in a survey of 1,800 institutes, according to VIQTORY.
The U.S. News & World Report includes Jacksonville University among other schools in its list for the Best Nursing Schools for Doctor of Nursing Practice. Along with the school’s doctoral programs in health & medical sciences and nursing, business degrees are also available from their designated colleges at Jacksonville University.
Military Times also rates Jacksonville in the top ten places for veterans to live in Florida. To extend its city’s accommodative integrity, Jacksonville University greets its military students with a Veterans and Military Resource Center. Under the leadership of the Director of the VMRC, Mike Mitchell, the VRMC assists prospective and current students with admission, transition, academic success, and student involvement and leverage University resources.
