Professional Profile
Sherri Bateh is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Keigwin School of Nursing at Jacksonville University. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, she worked as a toxicology screening analyst in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She obtained her BSN and MSN in Clinical Nurse Education from Jacksonville University after relocating to Jacksonville, Florida. Throughout her 27-year nursing career, Prof. Bateh has worked in a variety of settings, including perioperative care, pediatric home health care, occupational health, school nursing, and diabetes education. In addition, she has six years of experience instructing science classes in high school. Currently, Prof. Bateh practices as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) at Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital. She is involved with a number of professional associations, such as the American Diabetes Association, the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, and the Lambda Rho Chapter-at-large of Sigma Theta Tau.
