Announcing the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences
May 28, 2015
To the JU community,
It is my great pleasure to announce that in gratitude for its tremendous generosity and vision as a longstanding education partner, Jacksonville University is honoring Brooks Rehabilitation today by naming our College of Health Sciences the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences.
This is a transformative, heightened connection with a world-class healthcare provider that will open new pathways for us and propel our programs forward as the region’s premier healthcare educator. Brooks Rehabilitation’s $4 million in financial support, including its most recent commitment – the single-largest donation in the history of our College of Health Sciences – allows us to invest strategically in specific areas of healthcare education that are in highest demand. Brooks’ full engagement will result in the best-prepared JU graduates for the ever-changing healthcare marketplace.
Brooks Rehabilitation has earned a stellar reputation for outstanding service and care that complements ours. This partnership will benefit not only our students but our community's residents and visitors. Jacksonville University will be able to accelerate its recruitment of the very best students, faculty and researchers. We are grateful to team with an organization of the caliber of Brooks Rehabilitation and its outstanding CEO, Doug Baer.
Please join me, along with Dr. Christine Sapienza, Dean of the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences, in welcoming our new partner, as we offer the most cohesive, competitive and exceptional programs that attract and educate the brightest minds.
Sincerely,
Tim Cost
