A Veteran's Day Message
November 10, 2015
To the JU community,
This Wednesday, Veterans Day, we honor those who have served in our nation’s military. We owe an unending debt of gratitude for the sacrifice our veterans have made and the hardships they endured to ensure our country’s flame of freedom would never be extinguished. Throughout the long history of our nation, we have been blessed with heroes willing to sacrifice their freedom to protect and defend our own. Our veterans have established a legacy of sacrifice, commitment and patriotism.
Jacksonville University has a long history of supporting the United States military. We have 600 members in our Jacksonville University military family, including active-duty students, student veterans, Navy ROTC, military family members, faculty veterans, and staff veterans. We will continue to seek new and innovative ways to support every one of them.
The United States military represents the best ideals of our nation, embodying the traits that make America strong. Veterans Day honors those who have given their all for our freedom, and I invite you to take time to honor these heroes.
Sincerely,
Tim Cost
