Bio: Joel Bogaert is a senior electrical engineering major at Jacksonville University. Joel is a high performing student with various leadership positions on campus. He has served as President of the Honors Student Association, the IEEE Student Chapter President, and the Vice President of Green Key. In addition, Joel works as a Peer Tutor on campus. Outside of school, Joel possesses extensive internship experience at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center at Tyndall Air Force Base, FL. He has worked on numerous research projects and technology option studies across two companies, ranging from photovoltaic efficiency to integrated fire research for USAF applications. Joel has been included in three research publications for his contributions. He is also a licensed drone operator and provides aerial photography for clients. Bio: Senior at Jacksonville University Majoring in Economics and Marketing, Francisco Capellan intends to obtain his bachelor's at Jacksonville University and follow that by also obtaining his MBA in Marketing. Francisco is a member of the Men's Soccer Team here at Jacksonville University and has been able to maintain a leadership role within the team in the last couple of years. As a collegiate athlete, Francisco learned that performance is dictated by time management and effort, both on the field and in the classroom. Francisco owes his academic and athletic success to his family as they have always been there for him. Bio: Graduate student Quinton Carter is pursuing a dual graduate degree, a Master’s in Science of Applied Business Analytics, and a Master of Business Administration. He is expecting to complete his graduation in Spring 2023. While completing his graduate education at Jacksonville University, Quinton works as a Senior Product Manager at Automatic Data Processing (ADP). The newly acquired knowledge from these master’s programs has led him to discover a passion for data science and understanding how this discipline can be applied to daily scenarios in business. With these degrees, Quinton will continue his pursuit into executive and strategic roles where he is motivated to create data driven tools that allow users to easily see how useful and insightful data truly is. Bio: Jacob Greiner is a senior majoring in business finance. Jacob is a member of the men’s lacrosse team at Jacksonville University and a two-time captain. Since high school, Jacob has spent his summers building a landscaping business, J&J Sealcoat, which he owned alongside his twin brother. Bio: Gabriel Hoff is a senior at Jacksonville University majoring in Communications. He is well known for his leadership qualities and unwavering work ethic. Having started and managed a landscaping/light carpentry business in his hometown in the hills of western Massachusetts as a freshman, Gabriel built a strong network of returning clients which he has managed for the past 3 years. This endeavor developed his top notch problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills. Gabriel’s work as a volunteer for his local fire department and search and rescue training satisfied both his spirit of adventure and desire to help others. At JU, Gabriel has reported for the Dolphin Channel News and now serves as the editor in chief for the school newspaper, The Navigator. As a senior, he has been interning with eXp Realty and is working towards obtaining his real estate license. He is an avid fisherman and loves to spend his free time on the water. Gabriel is excited to begin his journey into the world of real estate and finance upon graduating in the spring of 2023.

Bio: Junior, Seth Hogue, is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Computer Engineering. After graduation, he plans to go directly into pursuing a long-term engineering job. He has been a member of the Jacksonville Men’s Lacrosse team for 3 years. He has been on the leadership group within the Men’s Lacrosse team for his sophomore and junior year. Seth is organized, diligent, a dedicated team leader, and extremely hard working both on the lacrosse field and in the classroom. Bio: Samantha Levins is a third-year business student at Jacksonville University majoring in Finance. She plans to get her bachelor's degree and go directly into working after college. Bio: Athena Masson is a broadcast meteorologist and hurricane specialist reporting across multiple news outlets. She graduated from the University of Toronto with her doctorate in 2018 where she worked on developing a new and improved hurricane scale for the North Atlantic basin. While working as a full-time meteorologist she provides forecasts and commentary internationally for major severe weather and natural disaster events, especially tropical cyclones. Athena decided to return to school to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Jacksonville University to advance her career and gain a better understanding of how the business world operates. In addition to her studies, she was a Graduate Research Assistant in the Davis College of Business and Technology, an Adjunct Professor at Flagler College, and continued to report to stations worldwide during severe weather situations. She recently completed her MBA in November 2022 and continues to report on severe weather nationally and internationally. Athena is looking into emergency management opportunities where she can utilize her skills in meteorology and business to develop methods to protect lives and property from natural disasters.

Bio: Chloe Mattivi is a third-year senior at Jacksonville University. She is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Spanish. Chloe previously served as one of the Co-Captains for the JU Varsity Shooting Team and continues to manage the team’s social media presence. Coming into Jacksonville University, Anthony graduated among the top five percent of his high school class with an AICE Diploma Merit from the University of Cambridge. Bio:  A senior in Management with a minor in Business Analytics and an MBA student from Sunrise, Florida, Steven Schupke moved to Jacksonville after serving five years honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Steven has an analytical background in the intelligence field conducting information operations, gathering, evaluating, and processing information to turn into intelligence products that are briefed to senior leadership & essential personnel. He also has many years of threat analysis, team leadership, mentoring, and management experience, but he enjoys making the most of opportunities and helping others succeed through his mentorship. Steven's experience in the Marine Corps allowed him to travel the world, visiting countries like Israel, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates, instilling a passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures. After graduating with his MBA, Steven would love to work in a position that allows him to capitalize on his love for traveling and his leadership & management experience.

Bio: A senior from Yonkers, NY, Jorge is majoring in Aviation Management & Flight Operations. Jorge is currently working on his Certified Flight Instructor license to pursue a commercial airline pilot career. Bio:  Second-year graduate student, Allison Sicbaldi is pursuing a dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Sport Management degree. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Communications from Quinnipiac University, Allison spent 2017 through 2021 working in professional athletics before enrolling at JU in the Fall of 2021. Throughout her time here at Jacksonville University she has served as the Compliance Assistant in the Athletics Department. In this role, Allison is heavily involved in athletic eligibility, recruiting, and upholding NCAA Bylaws among other various tasks. Prior to Jacksonville, she worked as a member of the Boston Red Sox’s marketing department, doing fan and youth engagement on both game days and non-game days. Upon completion of her program, Allison plans to continue her career in NCAA compliance or continue her work in Major League Baseball.

Bio:  Maxine is a junior double majoring in Sports Business and Management. After earning her undergraduate degree, she plans to further her education and earn an MBA. She was an athlete on the Jacksonville University Women’s Lacrosse team for two years before transitioning to be the Operations Manager for the team. As an athlete, she held a position on the team’s leadership council during her first year. Maxine finds herself to be organized, have strong project management skills, is focused with high energy, and exhibits strong leadership qualities. She is an incredibly determined young woman who is actively searching for an opportunity to gain more experience in the sports industry. Bio: A third-year senior from Mechanicsville, Virginia, Joi Taylor is a double major in Finance and Business Analytics with a Management Minor. After earning her undergraduate degree, Joi plans to continue in the Jacksonville University Grad2Grad MBA program and hopes to work at a large corporation in people or financial analytics. She currently works many jobs on and off campus and remains heavily involved in campus activities while being recognized on the Dean’s List five times throughout her career at Jacksonville University. After over ten years in Girl Scouts, Joi found her passion for numbers and grew strong teamwork and communication skills. JU has allowed her to explore new interests throughout the business world. Bio: Joel Valdez is a fourth-year undergraduate born and raised in Jacksonville. He is currently pursuing an electrical engineering degree and an engineering physics degree. In the summer of 2022, he was an electrical engineering intern in the Research and Development department of Medtronic. At Jacksonville University, he is one of the founding members of the University’s Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers branch and is a member of the Student Alumni Association. He has also been nominated and accepted into Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Beta Gamma Sigma. In his free time, he enjoys repairing and modifying gaming consoles and computers, playing games, and is studying Japanese. After graduation, he will be pursuing a full-time position at Medtronic in Research and Development.

Bio: A graduate student from Cincinnati, Ohio, Caroline will receive her Master of Business Administration this Spring 2023. Caroline received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Jacksonville University last year and minored in Business Administration. She is currently in her final year participating on Jacksonville University’s Division I Women's Rowing Team. She has had several athletic achievements including MAAC Conference first team, CRCA Scholar-Athlete, and JU JAXPYS All-Sports New Fin (rookie of the year) award recipient. Caroline has been a member of the 1st Varsity 8 boat her entire JU career and a three-time competitor at the prestigious Head of the Charles regatta in Boston and competed at the NCAA National Championships in 2022. Caroline is currently working for JAX RecWell as a Graduate Assistant for Club and Intramural Sports and is the Director of Marketing and Communications. Caroline is looking forward to a career that allows her to apply her marketing expertise and time management skills while showcasing her strong-willed nature and willingness to produce above average standards.

Bio: Brooks Wiley is a Junior majoring in Marketing. He thrives in a team environment where he supports his teammates and takes on leadership roles that contribute to the overall success of the team. He was elected to serve as captain of the Jacksonville University Shooting team for the 2022-2023 spring semester. He was chosen to be President of the Jacksonville University Chapter of College Republicans. Brooks also served as a founding member and helped draft the constitution for the Jacksonville University Dolphin Scholars Society. During school breaks, he works in an Outfitter position at Bass Pro Shops, gaining practical experience in the effect of marketing on sales. After Brooks graduates with his BBA, he plans to pursue a master’s in leadership and a minor in social media marketing.
